Caregiver screening & matching

Families don’t just need “a caregiver”—they need the right match. Our goal is to reduce surprises by screening carefully and matching for both skill and fit.

Why trust us

Clear standards, proactive follow-through

  • Caregiver screening + role fit: background/registry checks where applicable, references, and experience aligned to your needs.
  • Matching that sticks: skill-fit + personality-fit to reduce churn and re-training.
  • Regular check-ins: we confirm routines early and adjust quickly if anything feels off.
  • Family communication: clear updates on what changed and what needs attention.

What we screen for

  • Identity verification / SSN trace (as applicable)
  • National criminal databases and relevant jurisdiction checks (as applicable)
  • Sex offender registry checks
  • Driving record (MVR) when driving is part of the role
  • References + experience review for role fit (ADLs, dementia routines, mobility support)
  • Bonding / insurance coverage where applicable
  • Drug testing where applicable and permitted by role/policy

How matching works (skill-fit + personality-fit)

  1. Clarify the “must-haves”: transfers, toileting, bathing, memory support, fall-risk moments, and family preferences.
  2. Choose the right profile: experience level, communication style, and schedule consistency.
  3. Meet & greet (when time allows): a short introduction so the client and family can feel the tone and fit.
  4. Early check-ins: quick follow-up in the first week to confirm routines and alignment.

What families can do to improve continuity

  • Start with a consistent weekly schedule (even if it’s modest) rather than “random” hours.
  • Share preferences: morning routine, food preferences, mobility limits, and what “good communication” looks like.
  • Use one shared update channel (text thread, notebook, or email) so small issues don’t become big ones.

Screening steps can vary by role, availability, and third-party provider processes. If you have a specific requirement (driving-only, bilingual, experience with dementia routines), tell us up front.
